The early stages of Louis' life were not too dissimilar to the birth and early life of the bright stars that dot our universe. It was filled with chaos, with uncertainty and destruction. Destruction of innocence, destruction of his fellow young herbivores, destruction of any hope for a normal life.

Yet, despite this truly terrible environment, he arose from it all like a beautiful, majestic star. A bright beacon of hope that inspires many Beasts to look forward to a bright future of cooperation and coexistence. His past may still haunt him, it still chips away at him, it still tries pulling him back into that dark void that was there when he was young.

But he does not let that happen. Instead he continues to shine bright, he continues to inspire others, he continues to fight and move forward. His friends, with whom he forged a strong bond, will always be there for him, to help him advance to a bright future. He is destined to change the world forever.

He is a true Beastar.

Louis has been a great inspiration to me for many reasons. He has helped me to move forward, to not let my past define me. To instead, spite the horror, pain and terror from the past by working hard on a bright future. I will do my best to keep moving ever onward.

Beastars is a great series. Naturally it has flaws as every property does. But the things it does well it does really, really well. Characters that truly inspire to continue to be the best you you can be, to not let the place society tries to force you into, or the past you have endured or anything else like that define you.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen either the anime or manga. If it is not for you, then that's fine. But I would suggest at the very least giving it a shot.
